We are so tired about all the buzz on Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s current relationship status. But then, we are so interested in knowing the truth too.

So, rather than going by all the buzz and gossip, why not ask the Befikre actor himself? That is what media decided to do when Ranveer Singh returned to India on Thursday (July 14) morning after wrapping up the schedule of Aditya Chopra’s next in France.

As the actor walked out, he was asked about his wedding-in-the-works with Deepika. And this is what he had to say: “Arey kya baat kar rahe ho yaar. Subah subah neend bhi poori nahi hui hai. Ab aaya hu to pata chalega.”

Guess Ranveer has to wait and watch like the rest of us. Who should we ask next, Deepika?

The couple has been plagued by gossip about an ‘unofficial’ engagement to Deepika Padukone. From the buzz, it seems like parents of both met and an extremely secretive engagement followed. There is absolutely nothing official about it though.

Interestingly, the engagement reports cropped immediately after earlier speculations that suggested both actors were taking some time off from each other.

Bollywood’s livewire star Ranveer Singh, who recently finished shooting for filmmaker Aditya Chopra’s Befikre, said that it was a “mindblowing” experience.

“‘Befikre’ shooting was mindblowing. Aditya sir is just amazing,” Ranveer Singh said.

The film has already created quite a stir among the audience as Ranveer and actress Vaani Kapoor are seen lip-locking passionately in every poster released so far.

Asked about the excessive lip-locking scenes in “Befikre”, Ranveer quipped: “Yes, there are a lot of kissing scenes. What should I say! They made me kissed so many times!”

The film will see Chopra in the director’s chair after eight years. “Befikre”, Chopra’s fourth film as a director, comes after the 2008 movie “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi”.

The film is set to release on December 9.

“Aarfa is an independent person who believes in standing up for herself and speaking up. She has a strong father in the film. She is much like me. My father is a very strong man. He always taught me to speak up make decisions on my own.”

For someone who made her debut opposite SRK, Anushka is happy that films have given her a chance to play different characters in this lifetime. “I do films because I enjoy acting. I get to play different characters in this lifetime which would otherwise not have been possible. I do films which challenge me and help grow me as an actor and leave an influence on others.”

Actor Shiney Ahuja has served a legal notice to Balaji Motion Pictures and it’s Managing Director, Ekta Kapoor, over its movie Great Grand Masti to be released on July 15 taking an exception to the character of a maid in the movie which is named ‘Shiney’.

The legal notice has been served by a Chandigarh-based legal firm, Jurisconsultus, to Balajit Motion Pictures, Ekta Kapoor Managing Director the firm, Jeetendra Kapoor Director of the firm, Maruti Intyernational and Inder Kumar, another Director of the firmasking them to delte the reference and issue an apology.

Speaking to The Indian Express, Neeraj Chaudhary, managing partner of the legal firm, said that the exerpts of the movie which have been leaked on the internet show that the film has a maid named Shiney. “Clearly naming the maid Shiney seems to be a quirky take on the infamous rape case of maid involving Shiney Ahuja. The trial court had convicted Shiney and he has challenged the conviction order before the Bombay High Court. The hearing of appeal is in progress before the Bombay High Court. In such a situation, producing a film using his name in a derogatory manner amounts to creating impediments in the free flow of administration of justice,” he added.

In the legal notice the advocate for Shiney has pointed out that the conduct of the producers of the movie at this juncture constitutes Criminal Contempt as defined under Section 2(c) of the Contempt of Court Act 1971. “The name of the maid “Shiney” and the actors trying to find some masti with her in the movie “Great Grand Masti” will have greater ramification and impact on the mind of the viewer and will tend to curtail or impair the freedom of the limbs of the judicial proceedings,” the notice states.

The legal notice calls for immediate removal of the name “Shiney” from the movie before its release. It further warns of legal action, civil as well as criminal, against the producers in the event the noticee fail to comply with requisite demand.

Shiney Ahuja had been comvicted of the rape charges against him and sentenced to seven years in prison. He has been on bail since 2011 and has filed an appeal against the verdict in the Bombay High Court.

National Award-winning actor Manoj Bajpayee, who will next be seen onscreen in “Budhia Singh – Born To Run”, says the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has “always been unfair”.

“Censor board has always been unfair… What’s new in that? Ever since it was formed, they have been unfair and there has always been a fight between them and the filmmakers. Their job is to only certify the film and not to censor or ban anything,” Manoj told IANS.

“Censor board had banned ‘Bandit Queen’ and the Supreme Court passed the film. So, it’s not that censor (board) has become unfair now. It has always been the same,” he added.

Talking about “Budhia Singh – Born to Run”, Manoj said he signed the film because of the script.

“There was no question of saying no to this film because the script was damn good. I said instantly yes to this film as soon as I read the script. I am glad I did this film,” he said.

“Budhia Singh – Born to Run” is a biopic about Budhia Singh, who ran 48 marathons — one of which was from Bhubhaneshwar to Puri, when he was a five-year-old.

Produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Code Red Film Productions, the film also stars Tillotama Shome and Master Mayur.

Manoj Bajpayee is known for his professionalism and he showed a glimpse of it during the promotion of his forthcoming film “Budhia Singh – Born To Run”. Despite being ill, the actor didn’t miss the movie promotion.

According to a source, the actor has been down with severe viral since five days which resulted in a lot of weakness. However, he still managed to actively promote the film by taking antibiotics.

Actress Anushka Sharma’s production house Clean Slate Films has now ventured into the corporate arena and will also shoot for recognised brands. The production house recently had its first brand shoot.

“Making ad films can be both lucrative and creatively satisfying. We will collaborate with brands on smart ideas and execution with experts and new talent behind the lens,” Anushka said in a statement.

Clean Slate Films’s first production venture was “NH10” starring Anushka herself and is now set for its second film Philauri.

3. Great Grand Masti also encourages young talent. So many new actresses find work in the franchise because, lets face it, which established actress will do this film.

4. Watch Great Grand Masti to ensure Indian sex comedies stay puerile and cringe-inducing. While comedy is subjective, Great Grand Masti and its ilk are really really sexist, really badly done and really unfunny.

Salman Khan is on a career high with Sultan. As his film co-starring Anushka Sharma breaks records, Salman Khan refused to appear in front of Maharashtra State Commission for Women in regard of his ‘rape comment’ on Thursday.

Citing MSCW’s lack of jurisdiction in the case, Salman replied to the commission’s notice via his legal team. Explaining his strenuous training during Sultan, Salman had said he “felt like a raped woman.”

With Sultan, Salman has 10 films in the prestigious Rs 100-crore club. Shah Rukh has six big earners while Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn have five films each who have earned over Rs 100 crore.

Bollywood’s Dabangg actor Salman Khan, who has given back-to-back hits including Sultan, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, has reportedly signed a deal amounting to Rs 1000 crores with a leading channel for the satellite rights of his films.

A report quoted a source as saying, “Today, stars are raking in the moolah by signing multi-crore deals with channels willing to pay the price. While Ajay Devgn had signed a deal of Rs 400 crore for 10 films with the same channel, at the time, Salman had signed the same for Rs 500 crore starting with Bodyguard-so he was getting paid Rs 50 crore per film then.”

“Varun Dhawan recently inked a deal with a channel where he gets paid Rs 300 crore for 10 films of his. But with Salman’s past few releases all being blockbusters, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, for example – channels are willing to pay him to triple the amount to air his films and have his presence grace their shows, be it reality shows or sports-based programmes. He recently re-negotiated his earlier contract with the same channel,” the insider added.

Also, actor Hrithik Roshan has reportedly signed a deal worth approximately Rs 550 crores for his next six films. Varun Dhawan also signed Rs 300 crore deal with a leading channel for his movies except for ‘Judwaa 2’.

The fourth instalment of the highly successful comedy franchise “Golmaal” will release during Diwali next year.

Titled “Golmaal Again”, the film will see Ajay Devgn reunite with director Rohit Shetty to take forward the franchise after three previous blockbusters, a statement from the makers said.

The announcement was made to celebrate 10 years of “Golmaal”, the first part, which released on this date in 2006.

Apart from the “Drishyam” star, the film featured Arshad Warsi, Sharman Joshi, Tusshar Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Rimi Sen in lead roles.

The film spawned two sequels– “Golmaal Returns” in 2008 and “Golmaal 3” in 2010– both of which were also released during Diwali.

“Golmaal Again” will mark the reunion of Shetty and the 47-year-old actor after hit films like “Bol Bachchan” and the “Singham” franchise.

Devgn, meanwhile, will be next seen in his directorial venture “Shivaay”.

Yami Gautam has called out journalists for asking her about “Sanam Re” co-star Pulkit Samrat’s wife Shweta Rohira allegation that the actress was behind the breakdown of their marriage.

Shweta and Pulkit separated in 2015 after a year of marriage. Since then, the 32-year-old actor has been rumoured to be dating Yami.

Shweta, rakhi sister of superstar Salman Khan, in a recent media interview, claimed Yami “broke” her marriage.

Actor Rajeev Khandelwal, who is all set to make his singing debut with forthcoming suspense thriller film “Fever”, says though he is not a professional singer, but he loves to croon songs.

Rajeev will record the promotional track “Teri yaad” on Friday.

“I am not a professional singer but I love singing like everyone does. But I am not even a half singer to be honest. So when my director Rajeev Jhaveri approached me to sing the promotional song ‘Teri Yaad’, I agreed to it albeit with some jitters,” Rajeev said in a statement.

“Tomorrow (Friday) I will be recording the song and to be honest I am a bit nervous. But I have done my bit of rehearsing with Rahul who will also be singing with me and I am hoping that the song turns out well,” he added.

The original song which will be played in the background in the film has been sung by Rahul Jain, who is also the music director of the film.

“Fever”, which also stars Gauahar Khan, Gemma Atkinson, Victor Banerjee and Caterina Murino, is slated to release on August 5.

Gurmeet Choudhary, who entered Bollywood with “Khamoshiyan”, is now working on his next project “Wajah Tum Ho”. The actor says he prepares for each of his films considering it is his last.

Gurmeet will be seen in Bhushan Kumar’s erotic thriller with Sana Khan as the female lead. He will be essaying the role of a lawyer.

“I have prepared for every film of mine like it is my last. It is not easy to behave and be someone else if one does not prepare well for it. For the role of a lawyer, I made sure I learnt the correct diction and most importantly I made sure I got the lawyer lingo correct,” Gurmeet said in a statement.

He added: “Over and above this, which I am sure irked my friends, is that I locked myself indoors for almost a fortnight trying to get the correct body language and character right.”

He met his wife Debina only at the dinner table. He says she “understood the preparation I was going through”.

The actor, who has worked in TV shows like “Ramayan” and “Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi”, is busy with the shooting of the film.

His fans are yearning to see him on the big screen. Gurmeet says “They have been so patient with me so far. I am sure they would continue to be as patient and shower me with love like they always have.”

If there is one adult comedy franchise that has made money at the box office in India, it is the franchise of Masti. What started off as a usual adult comedy flick in 2004, Masti has today emerged as one of the leading adult comedy franchises in India, setting a trend of sorts by paving way for other producers to spin off sex comedies.

And just when the adult comedy genre started going out of fashion, director Inder Kumar revived his Masti franchise with Grand Masti which despite its double entendre (some sexual innuendos offended women a great deal) did a roaring business at the box office and was declared the sleeper hit of 2013 after crossing the Rs 100 crore mark. Today, three years later, the franchise is back with its third installment titled Great Grand Masti.

The third installment has retained its original male actors namely Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivadasani. Actress Urvashi Rautela joins them as the only lone female lead. The trailer promises a whole lot of adult jokes, in-your-face cleavage heaves courtesy Urvashi Rautela and sexually laced one-liners that will appeal to your carnal instincts.

Working to Great Grand Masti’s advantage is the solo release factor.
