
It’s all set to be a super movie weekend as aficionados will get to watch three diametrically opposite Hindi films and Hollywood superhero flick, Captain America: Civil War starting today. And if indications arriving from online booking portals are anything to go by, one can expect Captain America to open to packed houses this weekend.
High on VFX laced stunts and backed by what seems to be a gripping story, Captain America looks set to follow the record breaking footsteps of The Jungle Book. Multiplexes are running the movie on multiple screens and for the local Hindi speaking audience, popular B-town star Varun Dhawan who has lent his voice to the titular role in the dubbed Hindi version has promoted the movie well enough to attract good footfalls. On the Hindi film front, we have three films running neck-to-neck against each other. The most exciting of the lot purely on the merit of its content is Traffic. Starring the brilliant Manoj Bajpayee, one can expect some captivating acting performances from this thrilling drama.
Sex siren Sunny Leone will also display her glamorous wares at the box-office courtesy One Night Stand. The movie will look to cash in on Sunny’s oomph quotient which has been its sole selling point till date.
For those who have had enough of sex and drama, 1920 London will chance itself to send chill down everyone’s spines. The movie sees Sharman Joshi in a lead role after long and it remains to be seen if this talented actor can give the horror tale a profitable spin.
It would also be interesting to find who ultimately wins the Captain America v/s three Hindi releases war.
