Shahid Kapoor has once again nailed it with the portrayal of his character Tommy Singh in the upcoming movie ‘Udta Punjab’. The actor has been receiving calls, mails and messages from leading musicians of Punjab to congratulate him for his role after watching the trailer.

Punjab has given birth to many singers and rappers, and Shahid Kapoor playing a Puanjb based rockstar in the upcoming film has left everyone spell bound. He has proved his efficiency on screen once again post Haider.
Shahid’s spokesperson said, “Shahid has been surprising all as an actor. As Tommy Singh, he has showcased superior depiction of an aggressive rockstar. He has gone a step further and added his own touch to the character by refraining to mimic any existing rockstars. He is receiving a lot of love and appreciation from Punjabi rockstar’s and audience alike for his portrayal of Tommy Singh.”
He will also be seen in Rangoon opposite Kangana Ranaut, and has wrapped up the shooting schedule for the same.
Udta Punjab also features Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh.
Directed by Abhishek Chaubey the film will release on June 17.
