
After producing the commercially successful film Airlift starring Akshay Kumar, Bhushan Kumar led T-Series will now co-produce Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Sarbjit.
The film which will feature Aishwarya as Sarbjit’s (Randeep Hooda) sister is being directed by Omung Kumar, who has earlier directed the biopic of Mary Kom.
The film will be jointly produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Bhushan Kumar, Sandeep Singh and Omung Kumar and will release in the mid of this year.

Also starring Richa Chadda and Darshan Kumaar in pivotal roles, ‘Sarbjit’ is based on a farmer who crosses the India-Pakistan border under the influence of liquor and is mistaken as an Indian spy. He was kept in the jail for 23 years until he is killed by the inmates. Aishwarya will be seen playing her sister Dalbir Kaur in the film.
