“To be able to work with a director like Anurag Kashyap and share screen with actors of such merit, that too in my first film, I feel very fortunate,” Sobhita Dhulipala said.
Former Miss Earth India Sobhita Dhulipala, who is making her Bollywood debut with Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming psychological thriller Raman Raghav 2.0, feels very fortunate to be working with the director and sharing space with its lead actors Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vicky Kaushal in her first film.
Hailing from Vishakhpatnam, Sobhita had minimal exposure to Hindi but she committed herself to learn the language in 6 months. When she went for the audition, it took only one take for Anurag to decide upon Sobhita to be the female lead of his film.
“To be able to work with a director like Anurag Kashyap and share screen with actors of such merit, that too in my first film, I feel very fortunate. It’s a tremendous opportunity and I hope I have done justice to it,” Sobhita said while sharing her excitement and her debut in Bollywood.
Sobhita won the Miss Earth title in 2013, and also featured on the popular Kingfisher calendar in 2014.
Raman Raghav 2.0 releases on June 24.
