After receiving a great response at the Cannes film festival, Anurag Kashyap’s Raman Raghav 2.0 is all set to launch one of the tracks from the movie titled Qatl-e-Aam in style.
For this, the makers have booked a restaurant in the suburbs where the song would be launched. Masaan fame Vicky Kaushal will be donning his onscreen avatar and will be making his entry at the event in his cop avatar from the movie.
“The song has come up from a particular situation in the film, which describes the developing chemistry between the two lead characters. Ram had read the whole script and we discussed sound and the double entendre required for it. Then he came up with Qatl-e-Aam, and Varun completed the lyrics thereafter,” Anurag Kashyap said.
Music composer Ram Sampath, who has composed the songs for the film said, “Qatl-e-Aam is all about the night. It’s also a unique blend of Ghazal & Hard Trance. The song has many meanings & but still packs a punch. It’s best consumed loud with a good subwoofer.”
Set in contemporary Mumbai, the crime thriller has been inspired from serial killer Raman Raghav, who operated in Mumbai in the ’60s. Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen playing the role of a notorious serial killer Ramanna in the film.
Presented by Reliance Entertainment and produced by Phantom Productions, Raman Raghav 2.0 will hit theaters on June 24.
