Munna Bhai actor Sanjay Dutt, who shared a close bond with her mother and actress Nargis remembered her on her 87th birthday. The actor and his wife Maanyata took to Instagram to share pictures of Nargis.

One can clearly feel the connection he had with his mother as the caption read, “Happy birthday mom, miss u and love u.”

Fondly known as Sanju Baba, Sanjay Dutt recently completed his jail term and walked free in February. He walked out of the Yerawada Jail in Pune where he served 42 months, as a part of his five-year sentence after being convicted in the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case. After stepping his feet out of the jail, Sanjay headed to the grave of her mother to offer prayers.

Nargis was married to actor Sunil Dutt and the couple had three children together: Sanjay, Namrata, and Priya. Nargis was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and died in the year 1981.
