Amitabh Bachchan today confirmed that discussions were on between him and Ram Gopal Varma for Sarkar 3. Revealing the same at TE3N’s trailer launch, Big B said, “I am in talks with Ramu for Sarkar 3. We are going to sit for a story narration and very soon the project should start.”
The Piku actor also rubbished reports of having been on unfriendly terms with RGV after Sarkar 2. “Earlier I thought it was with Hrushikesh Mukherjee that I have done maximum movies with. But when I sat down to count, it was not Hrishida but Ramu. There has never been any differences between us as far as I know,” clarified Bachchan.
The first instalment of Sarkar rolled out in 2005, with Big B playing Subhash ‘Sarkar’ Nagre, a role inspired by life and times of the late Shiv Sena supremo, Balasaheb Thackeray.
Real son Abhishek Bachchan played Amitabh’s reel son, Shankar, in the movie. Sarkar 2 was released three years later and Aishwarya Rai joined the Bachchans on screen. The third instalment will be shot in Mumbai and London.
