Nawazuddin Siddiqui is not considered an action hero in Bollywood but what he did for Anurag Kashyap’s Raman Raghav 2.0 is indeed heroic. The actor who received high praises for his performance in the film at Cannes 2016 had to go through a lot for a shot in the film.
During the shooting, the team was at the airport, which is a restricted area, watched over by snipers 24×7. Security personnel’s at this high alert zone have orders to shoot trespassers at sight. As per sources, the actor was instructed not to move an inch, in order to get the shot right.
Thankfully, the shooting went smoothly but call it bad luck, due to some technical glitch the footage was not recorded. However, the team was finally able to retrieve the data.
This was certainly a life and death situation for the crew, especially Nawazzudin, who was almost on the line of fire. Kudos to this terrific actor and the team who was able to deliver in such a difficult situation.
Raman Raghav 2.0 a psychological-thriller, also stars Vicky Kaushal, is all set to hit theaters on June 24.
