
Southern superstar Dhanush is all set to foray into Hollywood after making his debut in Bollywood with ‘Raanjhanaa’ and then starring opposite Amitabh Bachchan in ‘Shamitabh’.
After all the speculations on his Hollywood debut, Dhanush tweeted about his big Hollywood debut.

Dhanush will be seen in the movie titled “The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir Who Got Trapped In An Ikea Cupboard” opposite Hollywood actress Uma Thurman. Directed by Iranian-French director Marjane Satrapi, the film also stars Alexandra Daddario, ‘Captain Phillips’, actor Barkhad Abdi and Laurent Lafitte. Seema Biswas. The actor had earlier expressed his excitement on his first Hollywood project. He had said, ““I am very excited by this opportunity to work in a full length Hollywood film.”
Based on the on Romain Puertolas’ bestselling debut novel of the same name, the comedy adventure movie follows a wild storyteller from New Delhi who falls in love with a woman when he reaches Parish, but accidentally gets deported along with a group of African refugees against his choice.
The novel, which came out in 2014, has been translated into 35 languages. It tells the pilgrimage of a con man from India to an IKEA in Paris which turns into a philosophical odyssey.
Dhanush has joined the bandwagon of Bollywood actors heading West which includes the likes of Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai, Anil Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Ali Fazal and Irrfan Khan.
