Arshad Warsi looked in the mood to have some fun at Ghanta awards 2016 yesterday evening. The actor who arrived at the red carpet with wife Maria Goretti readily admitted that he had been a part of many films that rightly deserved a Ghanta award.
Cocking a snook at Welcome 2 Karachi, Arshad said, “I have done many films that deserve a Ghanta. Last one was Welcome 2 Karachi. It was a mind- blowing film. It should get an award.”
When asked what went wrong with the film, the actor quipped, “In the movie, it was earlier supposed to be Irrfan(Khan) and me. But the moment Irrfan left, all fans of the movie also left.”
Arshad also opined that as a country we needed to loosen up and have more fun. “We take ourselves too seriously. We need to laugh at ourselves. If you can laugh at others, you need to have the sense of humour to laugh at yourself too. Somewhere we as a country and people, we have become too serious. We need to loosen up,” said Arshad.
