Watch: Ayushmann Khurrana as Bengali author Abhimanyu Roy in Meri Pyaar Bindu

Ayushmann Khurrana is all set for his upcoming film Meri Pyaar Bindu. The actor introduced his character through a short video on Twitter, soon after Parineeti Chopra, who plays the female lead in the film, announced the start of this Yash Raj Films project.

Ayushmann, who is named Abhimanyu Roy in the film and essays the role of a Bengali author, shared a link with the caption: #MeriPyaariBindu @ParineetiChopra I love it when the Bindu in you says such things. Here’s something special.

The video shows the actor sitting in a tea-corner on the streets of Kolkata with a type-writer as he narrates the plot of one of his many stories before turning his attention to Bindu, a character from the film, played by Parineeti. It is quite evident from the video that Ayushmann is completely smitten by her. Even though we would have loved to see more of the film, for now, that’s all you get. The actor looked dapper in a white kurta and beard.

Directed by Akshay Roy, Meri Pyaari Bindu is a romantic drama that will also mark the singing debut of Parineeti Chopra.

The film will mark the return of the 27-year-old actress to the big screen after a gap of two years.
