Speaking about the same, Kareena Kapoor said, “I think Arjun and I make one of the best pairs. Strangely, because everyone has been complimenting me on that. Everywhere I go people say that you and Arjun look really good together. Kareena is Saif Ali Khan’s Ki in real life. She revealed that hubby Saif hasn’t watched the film but is already impressed with the concept. She said, “Saif hasn’t seen the film yet, but when he watches it he should pick up tips from Arjun. So, let him see it first. He is very impressed with the concept and he is very very supportive. Whenever I talk to him, the first thing he says is I think this movie is going to be something else. So it is very rare you have such a supporting husband who is so excited about the film as though it is his film. R Balki added, “I am actually more interested in him (Saif Ali Khan) seeing this movie.”
Kareena, who married Saif Ali Khan in October 2012, has often been asked about whether there is any similarity between Kia’s character and hers in real life. The actress promptly replied, “We are both working. I have been working for the past 16 years and Saif has been in the industry for 25 years now. We are in the same profession, so you cannot compare but of course in the film she is a modern, young, working woman, in that sense I relate to her. She is not over ambitious and is as normal and similar to me.”
Arjun Kapoor, who will be seen doing household chores in Ki and Ka, reveals that he has never cooked before and had to learn it for this film. Arjun Kapoor, who had never made an attempt at cooking, says that he had to work on it before making the film. He said, “I learnt how to cook so that I was comfortable in the film. So, when you watch the film, you shouldn’t feel “Oh! see, it doesn’t seem that he knows how to cook or take care of the home.”
“I wanted to look comfortable. Most of the scenes are in the kitchen,” he added.
Arjun Kapoor also said that he would not want to pass on his role of Ki and Ka to anyone in the industry. He said, “I think we two are the right people for the film that is why we were chosen by the very capable director. I am very selfish and will never pass on this role to anyone.”
A movie about role reversal, where Kareena plays the man of the house and Arjun is the house-maker, the film will release on April Fool’s Day.
