TV star turned Bollywood actor Nishant Malkani is quite confident that he will find his secure place in the industry despite the influx of newcomers with every passing day. The actor, who was quite a heartthrob on television courtesy his serial Ram Milaye Jodi in which he played the lead, says there’s is no point in getting worried by competition offered by others.
“If you are hardworking, talented and lucky then you will find your place. I am not worried by the competition around me. I believe in bettering my craft with every project that I do which will help me find my place. Once that happens I am sure nobody will be able to take my place,” said Nishant.
While Nishant has started off in Bollywood with commercial films, the actor is keen to get his feet into the world of parallel cinema. “I would love to do a Hansal Mehta film. I am desperately waiting to parallel cinema.”
Nishant, who will be seen next in Cute Kameena opposite Kirti Kulhari, will be seen playing a rustic village guy. Talking about the the film, Nishant said, “It’s a romcom and the name originates because I am a kameena in my native place but when I land up in Mumbai I meet bigger kameenas that my kameenapan looks cute in front of them.”
The actor for the moment has no immediate plans to do television and will only consider an offer if it is an interesting limited episodic series.
