Akshay Kumar pays ode to India’s unsung heroes

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who features in “Airlift”, has starred in a video titled “I’m An Indian”, in which he urges the youth to go beyond armchair activism and to be the change they want to see.

The video “I’m an Indian”, released digitally by Culture Machine’s Being Indian, sees Akshay talk about how a majority of people restrict themselves when it comes to making a change by conveniently participating only in armchair activism.

The actor, whose new film “Airlift” shines the spotlight on the story of an unsung hero who played a pivotal role in the evacuation of Kuwait-based Indians during the Iraqi occupation in 1990.

This is not the first time that Akshay has featured in a film that promotes the spirit of patriotism. “Baby”, “Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty” and “Gabbar” are some of the films in which he has essayed a responsible countryman.
