The actor took the decision of not meeting hs kids in jail because he didn’t want them to get a glimpse of their father in jail attire. It was one of the most difficult decisions of the actor, but he stood firm by it. Even though he missed them at time, he was determined not to meet them inside the jail premises.

A source said, “His wife, Maanyata was standing tall and strong in keeping Sanjay assured about his decision which further helped the actor to remain away from his kids for such a long period of time.”

“However the day the actor was released and was spotted addressing the media below his building, Dutt’s kids who had just come from their school came running to their father and hugged him and would just not let go,” the source added.
